Not off to a good start
It's only a couple of days in and I've already run into issues with Ghost. Had to reset my password and then some screwy things happened with that, so that was awesome when I just want to write, damn it. Anyway, it seems to magically be working again, and I avoided a major meltdown, so hurray!
I'm definitely being too hard on myself instead of just letting this be a place to be creative and have fun. And now that we're into the workweek, I'm already having issues finding time and energy to even write for a few minutes. My brain feels like a deflated balloon tied to the top of my spine. Just going to have to figure out what works, while still having enough of a schedule that I'm forced to get words on the page.
Then there's the challenge of finding time to blog while also working on the creative fiction side of things. Even though I haven't written fiction in a long time, I always have ideas floating around—some disappear and some stay with me. Figuring out which one to choose for my first short story will be fun, since I'm one of the most indecisive people ever.
Definitely got to get rid of this self-defeating attitude. Also need a dedicated place to write that's free of distractions while not being in the home office where I spend most of my time these days. Thanks, COVID-19. Images and a proper header/logo would be nice too. So, there's lots to work on. But I better stop now before I get overwhelmed.
